New for 2021, I would like to introduce you to our pop up BOOK CLUB!!

I often witness members recommending books to one another and given the shared common ground of practising yoga the idea was born.

We will meet online once a month to discuss the book and hopefully you will get to know a bit more about the other names and faces that you see in class each week.

The book club will be hosted virtually by fellow member; Melissa Whiteman along with myself for familiarity.


We will choose titles that are linked to wellbeing, understanding the body, yogic philosophy etc. and that present ideas that you might like to implement into your day to day life. When it comes to meeting up virtually you could potentially share any results you have noticed from doing this or maybe just what you learnt from the book.

This month we are reading Radical Acceptance: Awakening the Love that Heals Fear and Shame by Tara Brach. Here’s what you can expect:

Feelings of self-doubt and insecurity are what hold us back in life and cause true suffering. In her landmark book Radical Acceptance, renowned meditation and mindfulness teacher Tara Brach offers us all a path to freedom. 

Drawing on personal stories, Buddhist teachings and guided meditations Tara leads us to trust our innate goodness. She reveals how we can develop the balance of clear-sightedness and compassion, heal fear and shame and build loving, authentic relationships.

Our next Book Club is scheduled for Wednesday 12th May at 6pm and will last about 1 hour. I hope that the literature will offer you some solace and distraction over the following weeks and that coming together to discuss the book provides connection and inspiration.
